The Queensland Landcare Conference 2009 will mark the 20th State landcare conference to be held in Queensland. The conference will provide an ideal opportunity for conservation and natural resource management groups in Queensland and more broadly, representatives from other landcare, conservation and environment groups; local, state and federal government; Landcare and farm suppliers; project officers and facilitators; major business partners; engineers, planners and consultants; primary producers; and industry groups.
The Queensland Landcare Conference will assist Landcare Groups, Government bodies, and other decision makers to enhance and maintain momentum for land sustainability in Queensland. If you are passionate about landcare and want to make a difference by sharing your experiences and knowledge with others then we encourage you to submit an abstract.

Allocations will be reviewed when papers have been received.
If you are interested in presenting at the conference please follow the submission guidelines below. Your submission will then be reviewed by the technical committee, should you be successful you will be allocated a session, workshop or poster presentation according to the abstract/s content and success of your submission after receipt of your official confirmation.
The deadline for submitting abstracts is Tuesday 27 January 2009.

Paper Submission Requirements
Selection of abstracts will be made by a technical committee based on their importance and interest to a wide range of delegates. An abstract (maximum of 250 words in length) outlining the topic’s scope and conclusions must be received by close of business Tuesday 27 January 2009 to be eligible for selection.
The submission should be formatted to:
A4 Size
Headings in 12pt Arial font
Text in 11pt Arial font
Single Spaced as shown on the upload template
Microsoft Word 98 or later
For abstracts with more than one author only one person should make the submission/s. This person will be the contact point for all correspondence concerning the paper with the Conference Organisers. Abstracts accepted for presentation will be published as a hard copy exactly as submitted, and should thus be checked for accuracy prior to submission.
The submission should be accompanied by, a brief biography to a maximum of 100 words per author, plus complete author contact details.
Presentations
Should your paper be selected, please note oral presentations are not required in any particular format however, the use of Microsoft PowerPoint is encouraged. Papers of all presentations accepted for inclusion in the Conference Program will be published as part of the conference program booklet to be issued at the commencement of the conference.
Please Note: The invitation to submit a paper or present a paper does not constitute an offer to pay travel, accommodation or registration costs associated with the Conference. No speakers’ fee is paid to successful applicants. Presenters of accepted papers are required to register for the Conference.
