Event Name: The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists ASM Venue: Hilton Sydney No. of Conference Delegates: 1200 No. of Major Sponsors: 8 No. of Exhibitors: 17
The Client & Target Audience: The ASM was a coming together of professionals throughout the ophthalmic sector to meet and discuss the latest advancements in the field of ophthalmology.
Conference Objectives:
- Creation of an excellent and extensive program of keynote addresses, courses, symposia and free papers covering all major and significant emerging ophthalmic areas of interest.
- Include an exciting selection of international keynote speakers and thinkers
- Provide an interesting and varied social program for delegates to network and make new contacts within the industry
These objectives were achieved by ensuring a comprehensive and well planned program was established. Exhibitors and sponsors were provided with adequate venue space to showcase their products and assist in displaying the latest updated technology. A social program was also established to encourage networking and discussions amongst all parties.
The Role of ICE: The conference committee members were professionals from the industry who were volunteering and did not have the time or resources to coordinate such a large event. ICE was contracted to professionally coordinate all aspects of the event, this included liaising with all service providers, sponsors and delegates to ensure a successful outcome was achieved.
Rationale/Methodology: The project planning process involved the construction of a detailed critical path to monitor, update and evaluate the event criteria. ICE reported monthly to the conference committee.
What our Client says: The planning, monitoring and the attention to detail were most professional and to a level not often experienced with other organisers. R.L. Guest (CEO - Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists) |
