Event Name: Joint Conference of the Australasian Faculty of Occupational Medicine & Australasian Faculty of Public Health Medicine
Venue: Sofitel Melbourne
No. of Conference Delegates: 417
No. of Major Sponsors & Exhibitors: 20

The Client & Target Audience:
AFOM and AFPHM are the leading faculties within their respected fields.  Delegates included health professionals, academics and researches within an interest / specialisation in public or occupational health.

Conference Objectives:
A theme for the conference was developed - "Promoting health and preventing diseases in workplaces and communities" which was designed to highlight the synergies and areas of mutual interest between AFOM and AFPHM Faculties and Fellows.
These objectives were achieved by delivering a stimulating scientific program, featuring leaders in the field of public health medicine and occupational health medicine presenting new knowledge and thinking covering a range of disciplines and topics.  An exciting social program was also established to encourage networking and discussions amongst all parties.

The Role of ICE:
The conference committee members were professionals from the industry who were volunteering and did not have the time or resources to coordinate such a large event.  ICE was contracted to professionally coordinate all aspects of the event, this included liaising with all service providers, sponsors and delegates to ensure a successful outcome was achieved.

Rationale/Methodology:
The project planning process involved the construction of a detailed critical path to monitor, update and evaluate the event criteria.  ICE reported monthly to the conference committee.

What our Client says:
"The professionalism we received from ICE staff was second to none. Our Conference Manager was always on hand to provide advice, update and ensured the conference maintained its running schedule.
We were impressed with the number of sponsors the conference attracted and the way ICE managed the relationship. In addition, ICE was able to quickly and readily identify and approach key areas to market the conference to ensure our message reached out target audience."
