Call for Abstracts

The Organising Committee for the 2nd International Conference on Medical Bionics invites you to be part of this year’s Conference by submitting an abstract for poster presentation.

The abstracts should present original and unpublished advances of knowledge in accordance with the Conference themes;
  • Overview of medical bionics: design, development & commercialisation
  • Bionic Hearing: improved hearing technologies
  • Bionic Vision: retinal and CNS prostheses
  • Neurobionics: neural interfaces for CNS and spinal cord stimulation
  • Enabling technologies for medical bionics: ICT, smart materials and drug delivery technologies
  • Future directions in medical bionics; 'blue-sky' projects, and
  • Other related topics
All accepted abstracts will be published in the Conference Abstract Booklet given to all conference delegates.

Accepted authors will also have the opportunity to be considered for an oral presentation, rather than a poster presentation. These speakers will be invited to submit a manuscript for the special conference edition of the Journal of Neural Engineering.

Please note: Poster presentations will be an important feature of this year’s Conference with dedicated time in the program for viewing and discussion.

To be eligible for one or both categories of student prizes you must be a post-graduate student. This must be indicated in the submission process along with the name of the university for which you are currently enrolled.
