The birth of COSMETEX in 2010 Adelaide ushered in a new era in educational meetings for Cosmetic Medical Practice. COSMETEX TASMANIA in 2011 will showcase an ever expanding array of technology and new techniques to help improve your practice. COSMETEX has already achieved a reputation as the biggest and best cosmetic oriented meeting in the southern hemisphere. In Tasmania you will find a conference location like no other in Australia. The unique climate and features of the Tassie environment provide some unique experiences and I encourage you all to take the time to see the local environment. It may surprise you to find that Tasmania is home to some great wine and cheese making is a national treasure.
Come to Hobart in March 2011, enjoy catching up with colleagues, learning new things. The Organising committee owes a great deal to Jenny Vallance without whom we could not grow so well. On behalf of the Organising Committee, Jenny Vallance, Tony Bartone, and myself, as well as the sponsors, I invite you all to COSMETEX TASMANIA 2011 and hope to see you there.
Go on; be a devil!! See you in March, in Hobart.

Invitation from Program Chair
Each year our annual conference gets more attendees; this is a reflection of the increasing interest in the specialty of Cosmetic Medical Practice and of the growing international reputation of our annual scientific meeting.
We have taken the most popular presentation formats from last year and extended those to other areas - so there will be several interactive sessions with recognised experts in the field giving their response to real clinical scenarios. This is an excellent way to learn and has shown that there is always more than one way to achieve a good result for our patients.
The academic committee invites you to participate in the conference, not just by registering and coming to Hobart, but by submitting an abstract and preparing a scientific presentation for your peers. Sharing information with colleagues is a great way to promote the raising of standards for the protection of our patients, and furthering your own understanding of a topic.
As with previous years there will be workshops before and during the conference, so check the programme to see how you can broaden your knowledge - not just clinically but also in areas like practice management and business.
There will also be a separate programme for paramedical practitioners, and nurses working in the industry would find much to interest them as the talks will range from skin care to injectable treatments to lasers.
