On behalf of the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery (ACCS) and the Cosmetic Physicians Society of Australasia (CPSA), it is our pleasure to invite you to join us in Adelaide from Wednesday, 21 April to Saturday, 24 April 2010 to participate in COSMETEX 2010.
The Conference will be held at the Adelaide Conference Centre which is located in North Terrace, Adelaide. It is in close proximity to the CBD and a short walk to a range of hotels, shops and restaurants.
The organising committee has the task of identifying venues and working out timetables and schedules for our meetings and most do not realise how far ahead we have to plan. There are limited venues in Australia for a meeting of this size and we have to plan for many contingencies. Looking after our exhibitors and sponsors is important for a successful meeting and so we take into consideration their display areas and venue layout. We are placing more energy into the accompanying partners programme in the future. So partners make sure you are not left behind. Adelaide is on the doorstep to some of the best wine and food areas in Australia. Check out the great options available.
The College’s annual conference has developed into the premier event in cosmetic practice in Australasia and is poised to become one of the significant conference events in the World calendar. To mark this leap forward we have coined the term COSMETEX to reflect the merge of cosmetic conference and an expo of techniques, knowledge and technology.
On behalf of the organising committee I would like to invite you all to come to Adelaide and be part of a dynamic and innovative COSMETEX 2010. The academic committee headed by Dr David Topchian have planned an exciting programme for doctors, paramedicals, nurses. You just simply have to be there.

The ACCS and CPSA take great pleasure in inviting you to join us in Adelaide for COSMETEX 2010.
Building on the success of the Sydney conference in 2009, the Academic Committee are well-advanced in organising the programme, which includes internationally-recognised keynote speakers Dr Leslie Baumann (Dermatologist - Miami, Florida) and Dr Alfredo Hoyos (Plastic Surgeon - Bogota, Columbia).
The improved conference format will showcase longer, more in-depth presentations by recognised experts in their field so that delegates can gain a better understanding of new techniques and technologies that will improve their practice.
Some of the highlights of the conference will be:
- eight workshops on specialised topics the day before the conference, and many more workshops during the three full days of the conference.
- medical emergencies workshop with adverse reactions and events sessions.
- international breast and liposuction panels.
- management of pigmentation and sun damage.
- interactive facial surgery and liposuction sessions.
- skin rejuvenation, lasers and energy-based devices, non-surgical body sculpting.
Those who appreciate wine will of course know that the regions surrounding Adelaide produce some of the best wines in the world. These will feature in the many social events planned to welcome delegates and their partners to this exciting city for what is the largest cosmetic medical and surgical conference in Australasia.
