Paul Clitheroe
Paul Clitheroe is a director of ipac securities, a company he founded in 1983 with four partners. ipac manages more than $16 billion dollars for clients. Paul is a leading media commentator on financial issues and is renowned for his ability to explain complex money issues in plain English.
His books have sold over 600,000 copies. Paul is also a regular radio commentator and writes weekly newspaper columns.
In March 2008 the federal government appointed Paul as Chairman of the Consumer and Financial Literacy Taskforce. Its brief is to set a strategy to improve the financial skills of Australians.
Paul was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in the Queen's Birthday Honours for service to the financial sector through the promotion of financial literacy, and to the community.
Paul, his wife Vicki and three children live in Sydney. They have a strong interest in charitable giving and in 2003 established The Clitheroe Foundation to provide support for children's health and the arts. Paul donates his salary, speaking fees and other media earnings to this Foundation.

Saul Eslake
As the ANZ's chief 'number-cruncher' for nearly 14 years, it's been Saul Eslake's job to look at vast reams of economic data, and make sense of it. He has a knack for explaining economics in terms mere mortals can understand, which is why he's always in such high demand as a speaker and commentator.
Saul Eslake joined the Grattan Institute, a newly established 'think tank' affiliated with the University of Melbourne in August 2009.
Prior to joining the Grattan Institute, Saul Eslake was for 14 years Chief Economist of the Australia & New Zealand Banking Group Ltd (ANZ), one of Australia's 'big four' commercial banks, and one with a sizeable presence in Asia. In that role he became one of Australia's most widely recognized economic analysts and commentators.

Martin Isles
Trained as a geologist, Martin gained a Masters degree in concrete technology, before joining the quarrying & asphalt arm of George Wimpey plc for whom he worked 22 years in a variety of senior production, commercial, technical, health, safety & environmental roles across the UK, continental Europe and in the Middle East.
In 1996, he joined the London-based forerunners of the Mineral Products Association for whom he is Director, Health and Safety, representing over 90% of the UK industry and over 430 member companies.
Controller of www.Safequarry.com, widely acclaimed for health & safety across the international mineral products industry. Lead industry representative on the UK tripartite 'Quarries National Joint Advisory Committee'.
In Brussels, Martin chairs the Health and Safety Committee of UEPG, the European Aggregates Association, drawing members from 31 countries and representing MPA & UEPG on the 'Atlantic Alliance', the inter-continental health & safety conference involving the mineral products Industry, its Regulators and equipment Manufacturers. Also in Brussels, the European Commission operates a tripartite 'Sectoral Social Dialogue Committee for the Extractive Industries' under Martin's chairmanship.
Now in his second year as UK President of the Institute of Quarrying, Martin also chairs the IQ Benevolent Fund. In 2011, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, RoSPA, bestowed on Martin a rare 'Distinguished Service Award'.

Gary Liddle
Gary Liddle started his career as a civil engineering cadet with the Country Roads Board (now VicRoads). He was appointed Chief Executive in 2007 and has 40 years of experience with the organisation.
Under Gary's leadership, VicRoads is tackling the challenges of an ever changing transport landscape head on, moving people around Victoria in ways which are socially, environmentally and economically sustainable.
He was instrumental in VicRoads being the first government agency to adopt the Sustainable Action initiative, VicRoads Eco-Office Challenge, which aimed to reduce the overall environmental impact of government offices.
Gary is also Chair of the board overseeing the Council of Australian Government's road reform plan looking at the feasibility of mass-distance location pricing for heavy vehicles. Gary is also a member of the Project Board guiding establishment of the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator.
A keen cyclist, Gary is proud to be a National Ride to Work Day Ambassador.

Christine Nixon
Former Chief Commissioner of Victoria Police, Ms Nixon was appointed in February 2009 to chair the Victorian Bushfire Reconstruction and Recovery Authority and tasked with the oversight and coordination of the largest recovery and rebuilding program Victoria has ever faced.
Under Christine's leadership, the Authority worked with communities, businesses, charities, local councils and other government departments to help people rebuild their lives and communities.
Since August 2010, Christine has moved into a role as the Victorian Government's Advisor on Bushfire Reconstruction and Recovery. In her role, Christine continues to support communities, to work with the bereaved community, and to remain a member of the Victorian Bushfire Appeal Fund panel.
She also lectures with the Australian New Zealand School of Government and serves as Patron, member or advisor to a number of organisations including Monash University Council, the Alannah and Madeline Foundation, an Advisory Council member of the 100% Project, and a patron of Onside Soccer (Victorian Soccer Federation Incorporation), Operation Newstart Victoria, Phoenix Club Inc., and Onside Victoria, a not-for profit organisation that engages Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) young people by offering activities, employment and training designed to improve self esteem, develop leadership skills and increase community involvement. Christine was until recently a non-Executive Director of the Fosters Group Limited Board.
Nixon was a police officer for over thirty years and prior to becoming Chief Commissioner of Victoria Police she had an extensive career in the New South Wales Police Force, attaining the Rank of Assistant Commissioner.
Christine is a Fellow of The Australian Institute of Police Management, The Australian Institute of Management and The Institute of Public Administration Australia. She is a regular contributor and presenter at a number of executive leadership forums including the Australian and New Zealand School of Government (ANZSOG) and Harvard University's Policing Leadership Dialogue series.

Phil Ruthven
Phil Ruthven is the founder and Chairman of IBISWorld, an international corporation providing online business information, forecasting and strategic services. He is also a director of other companies, advisory boards and charitable organisations. IBISWorld now operates in Australia, the United States, China, the United Kingdom and New York. It plans to add the rest of the European Union, Canada and Japan over the next five years or so.
Phil contributes regularly to radio, TV, newspapers, magazines and documentaries on business, economic and social issues. He continues to be one of Australia's most frequent and prolific commentators in demand by the media, and is widely considered the nation's most respected strategist and futurist on business, social and economic matters.
He addresses about 70 congresses, seminars and conferences each year and has done so for three decades. His involvement as a communicator takes him around Australia and occasionally overseas.
Phil is a science graduate with further studies in management and economics at various universities and institutes, and was a Rotary awardee to the United States in the late 1960s. He spent over 10 years in the food industry, including executive positions in research, production and marketing, before establishing IBIS in 1971. He is a recent past board member of the Melbourne Institute, a past Director and Board Member of Open Family Australia (the charitable foundation aiding street children) and a recent Director of CEDA. Phil is an Honorary Adjunct Professor at The University of Technology, Sydney.

Andrew Scott
Andrew Scott has been deeply involved in the mobile industry for fifteen years, and has seen first-hand the evolution of mobile computing from PDAs connected via dial-up mobile internet to high-end tablets with embedded mobile broadband. While working at Telstra’s Research Labs, he was involved in the launches of WAP, BREW, and Java ME, and was awarded a patent on mobile barcodes. While at Glu Mobile (Europe), he led the porting of several mobile games. More recently, he has been Emerging Technology Manager within Telstra’s Chief Technology Office, with a team responsible for product innovation due to emerging mobile, media and apps technologies.

Robin Shreeve
Robin Shreeve has worked in the skills sector for more than 30 years in Australia and England. He is currently the Chief Executive of Skills Australia. Skills Australia is an independent advisory body advising the Australian Government on workforce development and workforce skill needs. Robin has been the Chief Executive of two large Tertiary Institutions – one in Australia, the North Coast Institute of TAFE and one in Westminster, Central London. For different periods between 1989 and 2005 Robin worked for the Department of Education and Training in New South Wales Australia. His final position was Deputy Director-General for Technical, Further and Community Education (TAFE). Robin has also been a Board Director for a number of organisations including the NSW Board of Studies, AeSharenet, Worldskills Australia, TAFE Global Pty Ltd, the Paddington Development Trust, the London Apprenticeship Company and the Westminster Small Minority Business Council. He currently sits on the Advisory Boards of the Critical Skills Investment Fund and the L H Martin Institute. Robin holds degrees from the Universities of York and Sheffield and has spoken and published widely on vocational education and training and marketing topics.

Katherine Teh-White
Katherine Teh-White, founder and managing director of Futureye, is a leading expert on sustainable development, strategic public affairs, project approvals and organisational transformation. Through her 18 years experience in corporations and as a consultant she has developed unique experience in sustainable development strategy, policy and organisational change. She has successfully created social licence for projects ranging from $40 million to $40 billion and has worked on complex outrage issues from climate change, lead poisoning to uranium mining. Jennifer Westacott
The Business Council of Australia (BCA) is an association of the chief executive officers of 100 of Australia's top companies. It was established in 1983 to provide a forum for Australia's business leadership to contribute directly to public policy debates. The BCA's vision is to advance and support policies that will help make Australia the best place in the world in which to live, learn, work and do business.
Jennifer Westacott took up the role of Chief Executive at the BCA in April 2011. Previously, she was a Director and National Lead Partner at KPMG, heading up the firm's Sustainability, Climate Change and Water practice and its NSW State Government practice.
Jennifer has extensive policy experience in both the public and private sectors.
For over 20 years Jennifer occupied critical leadership positions in the New South Wales and Victorian Governments. She was the Director of Housing and the Secretary of Education in Victoria, and most recently was the Director-General of the New South Wales Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Natural Resources.
At KPMG Jennifer provided advice and assistance to some of Australia's major corporations on climate change and sustainability matters, and provided advice to governments around Australia on major reform priorities.
Jennifer has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of New South Wales where she is an Adjunct Professor at the City Research Futures Centre. She was a Chevening Scholar at the London School of Economics.

Innes Willox
Chief Executive Designate
Australian Industry Group
Innes Willox will take up the role of Chief Executive of the Australian Industry Group on 1 May 2012.
Innes has been the Director of International and Government Relations for the Australian Industry Group since 2008. He currently has responsibility for policy development and advocacy across the federal and state government systems including in the areas of trade, defence, climate change, industrial relations and communications and technology issues.
Innes served as the Australian Consul General to Los Angeles from 2006 to 2008, where he represented wide-ranging Australian interests on the west coast of the United States, including in the areas of trade, finance, culture, bio-technology, environment and energy sectors. He was Chief of Staff to the Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs, Alexander Downer, from 2004 to 2006.
Earlier, Innes held a number of private sector and government positions including Manager of Global Public Affairs for Singapore Airlines based in Singapore (2000-04). Innes began his working career as a journalist. His positions included Chief of Staff at The Age newspaper in Melbourne and Chief Political Correspondent for The Age in the Canberra Parliamentary Press Gallery.
