Call for Abstracts
The Organising Committee for the 19th CASANZ Conference would like to thank all authors who submitted an Abstract for this year's conference. Notification of acceptance has been communicated with Authors and the process of submitting a Full Paper has now begun.
PAPER SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS AND GUIDELINES:
Please note: if your abstract has been accepted you will be required to write a paper.
Please ensure your paper is written using the Paper Submission Guidelines and is submitted by Wednesday, 13th May 2009.

THEMES
All abstracts will be considered, however, we encourage you to submit abstracts which address the conference theme ‘Air Quality and Economic Development - Challenges and Solutions’ and sub-themes as listed below:
- Air quality management and strategies
- Climate change/greenhouse gases
- Urban development (effects of urban growth, managing travel demand)
- Emissions inventory
- Air pollution meteorology and long-range transport of air pollutants
- Air quality modelling
- Industrial sources and control
- Health risk assessment
- Odour measurement and control
- Education/communication/community participation and expectation
- Policy and planning
- Atmospheric particulates
- Air toxics
- Indoor air quality
- Remote sensing of air pollutants
Papers which address several of these topics will receive favourable consideration.

ABSTRACT REVIEW AND NOTIFICATION:
The selection of abstracts will be made on their importance, relationship to the Conference themes and interest to a wide range of delegates.
Abstracts will be reviewed by the committee and authors will be notified of their acceptance on 1st April 2009. The Committee reserves the right to reject any abstract considered not to meet the Conference criteria.
Due to space restrictions of the Conference program, it may not be possible for all abstracts meeting the criteria to be included in the program. This is especially the case for oral presentations.
IMPORTANT POINTS TO NOTE:
- Potential presenters should note all costs to attend the conference must be met from their own resources. All speakers must be registered for the full conference program.
- At least one author of accepted papers is expected to attend and present their paper at the Conference
- All papers accepted may be published on CD-ROM.
