Isabel Evans   Isabel Evans
Isabel Evans has more than twenty years of experience in the IT industry, mainly in quality management and testing in the financial, communications and software sectors. Since the mid-1980s, her quality management work has focused on encouraging IT teams and customers to work together, delivering results via flexible, customer-focused, risk- and test-driven processes designed and tailored by the teams that will use them. Isabel is a popular speaker at software quality conferences worldwide and has been a member of several working groups for industry improvement. Her publications include Achieving Software Quality Through Teamwork and chapters in “Agile Testing: How to Succeed in an eXtreme Testing Environment”; “The Testing Practitioner” and “Foundations of Software Testing”. Isabel is a Chartered IT Professional and a Fellow of the British Computer Society.
 

 
Lee Copeland   Lee Copeland
Lee Copeland has over thirty years experience as an information systems professional. He has held a number of technical and managerial positions with commercial and non-profit organizations in the areas of applications development, software testing, and software development process improvement. He began his career as a systems engineer a leading minicomputer company providing pre-sales and post-sales technical support for their computers and software products. Later, he worked for a major multi-national non-profit organization managing software development and software process improvement. In the later position, he directed the creation of a testing organisation using inspections, functional and structural testing, and metrics for the evaluation of the quality of both the development and testing processes. Lee and his staff worked to encourage and support software development teams in improving their own testing. Now, as a consultant with Software Quality Engineering, Lee has developed and taught numerous training courses focusing on software development and testing based on his extensive experience. In addition, he provides consulting services to SQE’s clients. He is a well-known and highly regarded speaker at software conferences both in the United States and internationally. He currently serves as Program Chair for the STAR testing conferences, the Better Software Conference, and the Agile Development Practices conferences. Lee is the author of A Practitioner’s Guide to Software Test Design, a compendium of the most effective methods of test case design.
 

 
Julie Gardiner   Julie Gardiner
In the IT industry for over twenty years, Julie Gardiner has worked as an analyst programmer, Oracle DBA, and project manager. She has first-hand experience as a test analyst, test team leader, test consultant, and test manager. At UK-based Grove Consultants, Julie, a certified ScrumMaster, provides consultancy and training in all aspects of testing, specialising in risk-based testing, agile testing, test management, and people issues
 

 
Shane Parkinson   Shane Parkinson
Now The Director of Testing Process and Enablement for Capgemini Australia, Shane's career began with testing real‐time avionic systems of the F/A-18 Hornet as well as writing software to test some of these systems. Since then it has expanded to cover not only the Defence industry, but also Finance and Superannuation, Telecommunications and Australian Government sectors. This experience has seen Shane work with a number of consulting organisations including Rational Software, Planit Test Management Solutions and now, Capgemini Australia.

Shane is a respected trainer and has been accredited to, and taught the ISTQB Foundation, ISEB Foundation And Practitioner Level courses for Software Testers, as well as the ISEB BA Foundation and ISEB Requirements Engineering course. He has also taught courses in OOAD, RUP and various software tools.

Shane has performed roles in business analysis, object orientated analysis and design, software development, software testing, environment management and configuration and release management. This whole of lifecycle perspective has been applied to software development process improvement initiatives and assessments, which have encompassed the traditional Waterfall and V-Model methods, through iterative & incremental approaches of RAD, RUP and Agile.

Shane's 24 years experience in end-to-end, software development lifecycle has resulted in a passion to improve software development delivery methods.
