Thomas McCoy   Thomas McCoy
Thomas started his IT career as an applications developer over 20 years ago.

He has always been passionately concerned about software quality issues and the impact that software defects can have on computer users.

With the emergence of the testing profession, Thomas re-oriented his career into software testing and strongly disputes the notion that developers do not make good testers.

An enthusiastic promoter of software testing, he has spoken at many conferences, and was honoured to be awarded best presentation at AsiaSTAR 2004 and ANZTB Test 2009.

He holds bachelors and masters degrees in IT and is currently the manager of the Software Testing Section at the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs in Canberra.
