Call for Abstracts
The Organising Committee for the Gosford 2010 50th Anniversary Floodplain Management Authorities Conference is keen for speakers to address a range of technical, managerial, educational and operational issues associated with successful floodplain management.
Specific Technical Themes Include:
- Community Consultation & Education
- Climate Change & Flooding
- Flooding & Water Cycle Management
- Floods & the Environment
- Development on Floodplains
- Mitigating Flood Disasters
- Floodplain Risk Management
- Insurance…Panacea for Flooding?

Abstract submissions have now closed.
Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the technical committee and should you be successful you will be allocated a session according to the content of your submission. |

Should you wish to view or change your abstract document or upload additional abstracts, please Click here and enter your access key.
Proposals accepted for presentation will be published in both hard copy and in electronic format, exactly as submitted, and should thus be checked for accuracy prior to submission.
The submission should be accompanied by, a brief biography to a maximum of six (6) lines per author, plus complete author contact details.
Presentations
If your abstract is selected, oral presentations are not required in a given format. However use of MS PowerPoint is encouraged. Abstracts of all presentations accepted for inclusion in the Conference Program will be published as part of the conference program booklet to be issued at the commencement of the conference. All presentations must be accompanied by a full paper for inclusion in the electronic proceedings. Details regarding this will be emailed to authors upon acceptance of their abstract.

Important points to note
- Authors of accepted papers are expected to attend and present their papers at the Conference
- All papers accepted will be published on CD-ROM, available at the Conference
- All abstracts will be reviewed by the conference program committee who reserve the right to reject any abstract it considers does not meet the criteria.
